About me

My Story

Hello! My name is Courtnee and I like to consider myself a "Jill of all trades". Not only am I a birth and postpartum doula, I am also a belly binder, reiki practitioner, and have a Bachelor's in Anthropology. I love to incorporate all of my passions into my birthwork by supporting women in a holistic, culturally sensitive manner that supports all aspects of their life that evolve during the childbearing year.

My journey as a doula began shortly after the birth of my first child. My birth experience was a sacred and transformative moment in my life where I was able to witness my own inner power and internalize the importance of having a supportive birth and postpartum team to depend on in such a vulnerable and intimate time.

From that moment on I knew I wanted to help support new mothers and their growing families in the way that I was supported. In a way that was non-judgmental, kind, and life affirming.

In January of 2017 I birthed our second child at home with the loving guidance of a local midwife by my side. This experience reinforced my passion for birth and my desire to spend my life walking beside women during such a pivotal moment in their lives.

Outside of birthwork you can find me exploring local trails with my family, eating way too much chocolate, drinking the blackest of coffees, and keeping my hands busy with either a good book or knitting needles.
